NDKC MarisTulong Delivers Aid to Remote Earthquake-Stricken IP Communities
Relief operations reached remote Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities as the Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) MarisTulong initiative delivered essential assistance to families affected by the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake.
Demonstrating its commitment to compassionate service, the Marist earthquake relief team traversed challenging terrain to reach the mountainous communities of Purok Falbang and Maldalas in Barangay Poblacion, Malapatan, on June 23, 2026. The mission was later extended to the geographically isolated coastal and mountainous communities of Barangay Nuing in Jose Abad Santos on June 29, 2026, through the support of NDKC alumna Ms. Bea Arachelle Lebios, in collaboration with the NDKC Community Extension Services (CES) Office.
The relief operation provided essential goods to affected families, offering much-needed assistance as they continue to recover from the disaster. Community leaders and residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to NDKC, its institutional partners, and the generous donors whose compassion and timely support brought hope and comfort to those most in need.
Through MarisTulong, NDKC continues to embody its mission of faith, service, and solidarity by reaching vulnerable communities and extending the spirit of Christian compassion beyond the campus.
