NDKC Personnel Join 209th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Marist Brothers
Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) joined the global Marist community in celebrating the 209th Founding Anniversary of the Marist Brothers on January 2, 2026, at the Marcellin Foundation in Katangawan, General Santos City. The celebration was anchored on the theme, “Together we build homes of light (Where care, dignity, and compassion flourished).”
The gathering was attended by selected NDKC personnel and retirees, together with Br. Roy Deita, FMS, Director of the NDKC Campus Ministry and Religious Education (CMRE). The event provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on the enduring legacy of St. Marcellin Champagnat and his vision of creating communities rooted in faith, service, and genuine care for one another.
Guided by the celebration’s theme, the participants were reminded of the Marist call to build nurturing environments where care, dignity, and compassion are lived out daily—especially in educational spaces. The occasion strengthened fellowship among present and former members of the NDKC community and renewed their shared commitment to uphold the Marist mission of forming lives through education, service, and solidarity.
