The 10th Assembly of the International Marist Network of Higher Education (RIMES) was recently held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Representatives of 21 higher education institutions worldwide participated in the event, including the president of the Notre Dame of Kidapawan College, Br. Arnel S. Alfanta, FMS.
During the event, the members of the Steering Committee, composed of representatives of English, Portuguese, and Spanish language, and a representative of the General House, were elected. Br. Arnel S. Alfanta, FMS, was elected member of the Executive Council, representing the English-speaking delegation.
In addition to the election of the new Committee, one of the activities conducted was the relaunch of the document Marist Evangelizing Action in Higher Education, produced in 2017, and was updated and translated into all three languages. The dialogue on the strategic plan also aligned the directions and objectives that will guide the network for the next two years.
The next face-to-face meeting is scheduled for 2025 in L’Hermitage, France.
