NDKC Celebrates Notre Dame Day 2025

The Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) joyfully celebrated Notre Dame Day 2025 on September 8, 2025, with activities that embodied faith, service, and compassion. A special highlight of the celebration was the Community Extension Services (CES) Day, an annual tradition that strengthens the Marist mission of love and solidarity with the community.

Notre Dame Day is celebrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whom all Notre Dame schools are dedicated. For the NDKC community, this occasion is a reminder of Mary’s example of humility, faith, and service, which continues to inspire students, faculty, and staff to live out the values of being true Notre Dameans.

The celebration began at dawn with the Harana ni Maria, followed by the Holy Mass presided by Most Reverend Jose Colin M. Bagaforo, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Kidapawan, together with his co-presiders—Rev. Fr. Hipolito P. Paracha, DCK, Rev. Fr. Allan L. Sasi, DCK, and Rev. Fr. Romeo Saniel, OMI. After the Eucharistic celebration, NDKC also launched its newest outreach initiative, NDKC MarisTulong.

In the spirit of service, simultaneous CES activities were conducted across Kidapawan City and nearby communities, including:

  • Cleanup Drive in Brgy. Poblacion
  • Hospital Visit at Kidapawan City Hospital
  • Tree Growing and Parenting at Laudato Si’ EcoPark, Brgy. Junction
  • CES Padayon in the adopted community at Brgy. Singao
  • Donations Turnover at Datu Igwas IP Integrated School, Brgy. Perez

Through these activities, the NDKC community lived out the Marist core values of Faith in God, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Care, and Compassion.

By celebrating Notre Dame Day with CES Day, NDKC once again affirmed that faith finds its true meaning when expressed through love and service, living out the reminder that “Service is an expression of love.”
