NDKC and SOCSARGEN County Hospital Formalize Base Hospital Partnership
On September 10, 2026, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) and SOCSARGEN County Hospital (SCH) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement designating SCH as a Base Hospital of the College.
This partnership is an important step in strengthening the education and clinical training of NDKC nursing students. Through this collaboration, student nurses will have more opportunities for supervised clinical exposure, hands on training, and meaningful interactions with patients and healthcare professionals in an actual hospital setting.
The partnership will also help student nurses complete the required special clinical cases and related learning experiences needed for graduation. By encountering a wider range of healthcare situations, they will be able to develop their knowledge, skills, confidence, compassion, and readiness for the nursing profession.
More than providing additional training opportunities, the partnership also allows NDKC to extend its Marist care and compassionate service to more communities across Region XII. It reflects the shared desire of both institutions to form healthcare professionals who are not only competent in their field but also genuinely attentive to the needs of patients, families, and communities, especially those who need care the most.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Cesar A. Mirabueno, President of SOCSARGEN County Hospital, and Br. Arnel S. Alfanta, FMS, President of Notre Dame of Kidapawan College.
Serving as witnesses were Mr. Rafael T. Abaño, Managing Director of SOCSARGEN County Hospital, and Dr. Christopher James D. Ferrer, Vice President for Academic Affairs of NDKC. They were joined by key officers and administrators from both institutions, whose presence expressed their support for the partnership and its successful implementation.
Through this collaboration, NDKC and SOCSARGEN County Hospital bring classroom learning closer to the realities of professional healthcare practice. Both institutions look forward to a meaningful and lasting partnership that will benefit student nurses, patients, healthcare professionals, and the wider community of Region XII.
