NDKC CES and JollyBox Global Empower Seven Remote IP Schools in Cotabato

The Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) Community Extension Services (CES) Office, in partnership with JollyBox Global, an international humanitarian non-profit organization, successfully conducted an ocular visit and outreach program from June 23 to 26, 2026, bringing much-needed educational support to learners in seven remote Indigenous Peoples (IP) schools across the Province of Cotabato.

During the four-day outreach mission, the team distributed essential school supplies, including backpacks, pencils, and slippers, to learners from Amabel Elementary School, Lubas Elementary School, and Duwow Elementary School in Magpet; Bacong Elementary School in Tulunan; Bato Elementary School in Makilala; Datu Manib Amabas Elementary School; and Sayaban Elementary School in Barangay Ilomavis, Kidapawan City.

Beyond the distribution of learning materials, the outreach team conducted an on-site assessment to better understand the needs of the partner schools. Information gathered through consultations with teachers and learners, including school wish lists and priority concerns, will guide the planning and implementation of targeted educational interventions in the next academic year.

The recent outreach marks another significant milestone in the two-year partnership between NDKC CES and JollyBox Global in advancing educational opportunities for marginalized IP communities. It builds on previous outreach initiatives conducted at Sumayahon Elementary School and Datu Igwas IP Elementary School, reinforcing the partners’ shared commitment to inclusive and transformative education.

JollyBox Global is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to improving educational access for indigenous and underprivileged learners in rural and geographically isolated communities across the Philippines. Its initiatives include the provision of educational resources and school supplies, footwear assistance, feeding programs, mentoring opportunities, and library development projects.

Through this continuing partnership, NDKC and JollyBox Global reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting literacy, nurturing a love for learning, and empowering indigenous learners with the resources and opportunities they need to remain in school and realize their full potential.
