NDKC MarisTulong Extends Assistance to Victims of the 7.8-Magnitude Earthquake in Sarangani

Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC), through its MarisTulong initiative, extended assistance to communities affected by the recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Sarangani. The relief drive brought together students, faculty, staff, organizations, and generous families who united to provide aid for those impacted by the disaster.

Conducted from June 10 to June 19, 2026, the MarisTulong campaign mobilized the NDKC community in collecting essential supplies, hygiene kits, and financial donations. Contributions were generously provided by various offices, colleges, organizations, and individuals, including the NDKC Guidance Office, IBED PATA, College of Business Administration, College of Engineering and Computer Education, College of Teacher Education, College of Liberal Arts, and College of Nursing, as well as the JMS, JPIA, JPMA, and PSITS student organizations, together with kindhearted families and benefactors.

On June 17, 2026, volunteers from the NDKC Community Extension Services (CES), representing different colleges, joined YSLEP–Caritas Manila scholars in packing the donated goods for distribution. Through their collective efforts, the relief items were carefully prepared and organized for delivery to affected communities.

The packed donations were officially turned over to the Marist East Asia Province Center on June 19, 2026, for transport and distribution to the areas most severely affected by the earthquake.

The MarisTulong initiative reflects the enduring spirit of compassion, solidarity, and service within the NDKC community. Through the generosity and commitment of its stakeholders, NDKC continues to bring hope, comfort, and much-needed assistance to families and communities in Mindanao as they recover and rebuild from the devastation caused by the disaster.
