NDKC Honors Future Nurses at the 21st Professional Pinning and Awarding Ceremony
The Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) College of Nursing celebrated a meaningful milestone during its 21st Professional Pinning and Awarding Ceremony held on May 18, 2026, honoring its future nurses—Batch Servire.
With the theme, “Servire: Upholding the Nursing Profession with Compassion and Commitment to Excellence,” the ceremony highlighted the dedication, perseverance, and academic journey of the graduating nursing students as they prepare to enter the healthcare profession.
The pinning ceremony is a significant tradition in nursing education, symbolizing the students’ readiness to assume greater responsibilities in clinical practice and their commitment to upholding the values of the nursing profession. It marks the transition from academic preparation to a more active role in patient care and community service.
A highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding student nurses who excelled in their respective fields of practice. The Florence Nightingale Award for Clinical Nursing was presented to Joemarie J. Padasas Jr. in recognition of his exceptional commitment, competence, and dedication during his clinical exposure.
Meanwhile, the Florence Nightingale Award for Community Health Nursing was awarded to Jassel Raica S. Cielo in recognition of her exemplary performance and unwavering commitment to community health nursing services.
The ceremony brought together faculty members, administrators, parents, and loved ones to witness and celebrate this important milestone. It served as a reminder of the noble calling of nursing—a profession grounded in compassion, integrity, and excellence.
As Batch Servire takes a step closer to becoming licensed professionals, its members carry with them the values instilled by the institution and the determination to serve with compassion, competence, and purpose.
NDKC extends its heartfelt congratulations to Batch Servire and celebrates their continued journey toward becoming compassionate, competent, and service-oriented healthcare professionals.
