NDKC IBED–CES CARRIES OUT COMMUNITY AND PERSONAL SECURITY PROGRAMS

NDKC IBED–CES CARRIES OUT COMMUNITY AND PERSONAL SECURITY PROGRAMS

The Integrated Basic Education Department Community Extension Services (IBED–CES) of Notre Dame of Kidapawan College conducted Community Security and Personal Security Programs in its adopted community at Purok Atis, Sitio Santo Tomas, Barangay Singao, Kidapawan City. The initiative aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness and support the academic development of learners from Kindergarten to Senior High School.

Given the country’s vulnerability to natural hazards such as typhoons and earthquakes, IBED–CES organized information sessions focused on disaster awareness and personal safety. At the same time, the program addressed educational needs through academic support activities designed to enhance learners’ literacy and overall academic performance.

Through these efforts, IBED–CES reinforced security awareness in the community while continuing its commitment to supporting the holistic development of children and youth. Tutorial classes under the program have been ongoing since School Year 2023–2024 and continue to the present.

The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of IBED student representatives and faculty members under the leadership of IBED–CES Coordinator Leonisa E. Gatan, LPT. Recent tutorial sessions were facilitated by designated Junior High School and Senior High School student and faculty representatives on January 10, 2026, with the support of parents from Purok Atis.
