The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a tradition in which the community gathers to thank God for the gifts of creation and salvation and to seek the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Most Reverend Jose Colin M. Bagaforo, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Kidapawan presided over the Eucharistic Celebration last August 24, 2023.
Bishop Bagaforo’s homily centered on Nathanael (Apostle Bartholomew), the “gift of God”. The story of Nathanael is known as an ideal example of how a true believer responds to Jesus Christ. The bishop emphasized that as Christians, we come to know the truth by being open to God’s word and only those who are sincere, honest, straightforward, and real can see Jesus.
